A wonderful little painted chalkware horse, and an incense holder to boot. I find chalkware, which I believe this is, a bit hard to date and to place in terms of origin--this has a bit of the feel of Mexican folk art to me, but is also similar in manner to early American chalkware pieces I have found of horses and deer and cats, etc. My guess is it has some age but the spattered paint on it suggests a certain lack of fineness; I am pricing just based on its charm!
3 3/8" l x 3 1/8" t x 1 7/8" w and in very good condition, with no notable chips, cracks or other issues.
