I've bought and sold a couple of crochet sample books in the past, but it's been quite a while since I found one I really loved. In this case it is especially the pages of horizontal trim densely arranged on the pages like lines of text in a book that really sold me; feels positively semiotic! And really a lot of diversity and complexity to the samples all the way through, with each page well composed and fully packed. And of course the hand-dyed red cloth backing sets of the samples to excellent effect.
12" x 9 3/4" closed. Cotton samples mounted to hand-dyed red cotton pages. 10 "leafs" densely filled front and back, except two adjacent sides blank for covers. I've included photos of them all. I'm not quite sure what is top or bottom (and have included a couple flipped views of a favorite page or two.) One cover shows some water-staining, with red bleed to the corners of a couple of subsequent pages, as documented. Otherwise very good condition, all samples well stitched to the pages. It would be pretty easy to tear out the seam to take apart/frame as desired.
