I come across many more old wooden cutout bunnies and roosters intended for the yard than I do skunks, so I was pretty pleased to find this guy, who is perfectly skunklike but not fussy in the least. He definitely shows age, but if he lived outdoors I don't think it was through New England winters, as the wood and paint cloth are in good shape. His post is a very long nail rather than a spike, so it seems possible he could have been a topper on something.
