One last piece from a handful by the same person I purchased several months ago, the rest since listed and sold. These I know were found in the collection of an artist in Maine, and believe they date to the late 19th century or so. This is maybe my very favorite of all, but there is a diagonal crease visible--I think it would mostly disappear once framed, but it is there. Wonderful face, wonderfully sculptural hair, tiny hands and tiny-crossed-feet, with bright yellow peeking out from under her skirt to frame them. And with graphite drawn lines emphasizing the curves eveywhere!
7 3/4" x 5 1/8". Graphite and crayon on natural colored paper. Diagonal crease across it and a few lighter creases at top left corner.
