Fine Cigars, Saturday Evening Post, Man in Roseville/East Orange, NJ Train Station Waiting Room, 1899 Sepia Print

This is a relatively small photograph, dated 1899 on reverse, but if one needed to precisely recreate the interior of a turn of the century train station waiting room, this  would be all that one would need, right down to specific signage and inventory of papers and publications being sold. Wonderful richness of detail, including what looks like a lively conversation going on between the station master and another man at far right, light spilling in behind them. And then our man with mustache at the center of it all just sitting and waiting, as one does.
