Variations on this little printed booklet displaying sign language alphabets were not uncommon in the earlyish 20th century, distributed by deaf mutes in exchange for small donations--in this case by a J.M.T Davis, who I presume is the one who wrote "Eat-Drink-Smoke and enjoy yourself" at the top of the cover side, making it feel of a different era indeed! An interesting piece of history in raising public awareness of American Sign Language, and for me the rendering of the signing hands is just excellent.
Open: 6 3/4" x 5 3/4". Good condition, one small clean tear to bottom center fold.
