I really love this photograph, which at first feels pretty serene, but there is really quite a lot packed into it, almost as if one scene per zone of depth, all occuring simultaneous to, but independent of one another. With this fluffy little dog standing on hind legs as if thinking it were the sole focus and star. With those snaking bare vines at center rear forming a beauty of a drawing in their own right, and a great play of geometries framing them once and again. And note the figure at left, in a blur of motion.
As mounted: 6 3/8" x 5 1/2". Photograph 5 5/8" x 3 11/16". Very good condition, rich tonality, sharp and crisp. With a mounted photos like this, here mounted to a dark green mat (itself in very good condition) my disposition tends toward framing with a white mat overlaid just over the perimeter of the photograph, concealing the mat.
