I've been finding vintage watercolor tins of this sort very satisfying as delivery systems for pure, delicious color--satisfying as objects, whether one should ever put the paints to use. And in the case of a pretty much pristine set like this, I'd be a bit loathe to disrupt the crispness of that gorgeous color grid. Fun cats holding paint brushes on the lid of this c. 1940s Kopy Kat set too.
Closed: 9 3/8" x 3 5/8". General wear to the lead but paints inside appear very little if ever used. Yum.
