Yellow Bed, Black Chair, Man in White, Beautifully Naive 1912 Mexican Folk Art Retablo

I'm perpetually on the hunt for good old retablos, and really love this one--with that small black chair at far right really bringing it together for me, such a perfect moment together with the yellow end of that bed. And then this very sweet looking man in white gown kneeling and praying on the bed to a small Madonna and very tiny baby Jesus encircled in blue at far left. The handwriting here is most excellent too, looking like someone's very hard-trying effort to write in cursive script, with slanting lines drawn as guides; a bit hard to decipher but one can make out 1912. Completely charming.

14" x 10". Tin in plenty dinged up, some light bends and paint loss here and there, all of a piece with it. 1912.
