Certainly made as a barn hook, and a wonderfully primitive one at that, but my love for this is for the fact that the sculptural wood “hook” looks just like a horse’s head, and equally so from both sides, so I'd treat it as a sculpture and display it head up. Really quite a beautiful, old thing, which could certainly also be mounted on the wall as a satisfyingly large and sculptural hook should one desire.
8" tall; 8" x 7 1/6" across at base/mount. Very good presumed antique condition, sturdy and stable with no losses or issues.
