Wonderful Oil on Canvas Lemons, Postcard Painting

What a sweet sister Maggie was to send her sister this hand-painted postcard, oil canvas no less, and what a treat it must have been for Mary to receive it! It was a treat for me to find it now, including for the fact that I find lemons the loveliest and most cheerful of all fruits, like pure sunshine on the outside, counterpointed wit a perfect twist of tartness!

5 5/8" x 3 5/8". Oil on canvas, c. 1920s I believe based on the Franklin stamp.  Cracks to the surface as evident, it went through the mail after all, but I like it all the more for the wear.
