I'm in perpetual search of good color delivery vehicles of one sort or another--old fabric and thread dye cards, ribbon swatches, colored paper samples, and paint swatches, of course--because what is more satisfying than pure color? This Dutch Boy Color Pack for Painters is well worn, but no way could I resist these sherbet-y hues, and especially the combinations of two or four colors together on one swatch. And on the backs of the cards the names of the colors and formulas/instructions for mixing them. Pretty scare, c. 1920 I believe.
4" x 2 3/16" x 1/2" closed. Well worn, particularly the first several paint samples in the pack, which show a little rippling and craquelure. Less so further on, but general wear and age.
