How to resist? I largely leave antique straw stuffed animals for those who are devoted dealers or collectors of them, but this well loved very folky cat completely won me and I had to commune with her for a bit. Likely of New England, hand-sewn of linen, with black shoe button eyes and a few scattered mends, including to the nose, which I think makes that highly empathetic face all the better. Total charmer.
13 1/4" l with tail extended straight, 6 1/2" tall, 4 1/8" wide. A few scattered stains and mends, as documented. The tail is well attached, but the stuffing has shifted at the base so it is extra floppy!
