Wall of Trees with Horse and Houses, c. 1940s Snapshot

I love this photo formally, with the tall narrow trees, poplars I believe (?), forming a wall between the houses behind them and the horse and rider in front, galloping across the scene in what feels like a slightly surreal way, as if of a different time and place entirely. I've had this one in the my pile for a bit, and every time I look at it, it surprises me.

6" x 3 3/4"  Glossy paper, cream. Good condition, with light creases to top and bottom right corners.
