A beauty of an old tramp art box in pretty much perfect condition, made by, or for (or both) a W.S. long ago. (And I'm really smitten with the thin and slightly wavy lines of that W.) Carefully executed, perfectly resolved, super sturdy, without a missing bit, and with some nice bubbling to the old varnish on front. And that inverted triangle around the keyhole really brings its geometries together in an excellent way.
11" l x 7 3/8" d x 5 1/4" t. Excellent condition. Earlyish 20th c. I believe, with stamped cigar box label visible on the underside.
