SOLD Very Old Carved Wooden Doll Head with Old Paint and Wire Loop Earrings

Found yesterday in Maine, and clearly a very old one, which I assume would have been sewn onto a cloth torso, perhaps with carved wooden arms and lower legs sewn onto that. Beautifully worn and aged, with deep carving for her hair and some old paint still hanging onto wood, particularly the black of her eyes and pink of her cheeks. And then these wonderful wire loops for earrings. Old, old, with a terrific pursed expression on her face.

2 3/4" t x 2 1/4" w x 1 3/4" d. Much worn and aged as evident, with a little old loss to the sides of her shoulders and some flattening to her nose, all as there should be.
