One of a handful today pulled from the already falling apart sketchbook of a young Henry Henkel of Lancaster, NY, who wrote his name many times all over it--including all over the back side of this drawing. I always love a naive house drawing, but here especially for the trees paired with each of houses, as if expressive of each of their natures, with the tree dramatically draping over the side of the yellow house seeming as if clinging to it really, as if for dear life!
8 1/4" x 6 7/8". Crayon on paper. Light stain along top edge, as evident, otherwise good condition.
