Two Girls in White, Intense and Otherworldly Feeling Antique Quarterplate Tintype

I've become obsessed with tintype photos, which have become my favorite type of photographs. There are hundreds of--to my eye-- uninteresting one for every good one I find, but when they're good I think they're good like nothing else. The combination of etherealness and intensity here completely does it for me, with these two girls in white, surely sisters, looking as if hovering very close to the spirit world, while at the same time the quality of the tintype makes them feel close enough to touch. I could stare at this one all day, to my eye just a stunning double portrait and image.
