Tiny Little Carved Figure in Coffin!

This! The pencil drawn face on the tiny figure just kills me, perfectly framed by the cutout window in the lid of the coffin, which amplifies the sense of desperation in his expression, as if just realizing the reality of being trapped inside forever and also looking a bit as if trying to figure a way out.  I found it in Salamanca, New York and it is definitely quite an old one. Tiny but huge!

1 11/16” x 11/16” x 1/2” t. There is a hairline split in the wood just about his head, no real matter. Great old patina and just great.
