This tabletop chest of three drawers--mid to late 19th century, I believe--features a rectangular top, paneled sides, large wooden knobs, and turned, tapered front legs ending in ball feet. I love how simple and direct it is; just an honest and handsome little piece, ready to do its job.
The chest has seen some use (as pictured in detail; see photos): a few of the knobs on the drawers are chipped (it appears they have been restrained since), there are a couple of dark stains to the top, and there is some wear around the edges plus nicks here and there. I think it still looks pretty great, though, and structurally is in very good shape, steady on its feet and with drawers all opening and closing easily (though they are not interchangable; each only fits well where it is). It measures 9 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" deep x 8 1/4" tall.
