Tea Party at Play Tent with American Flag, c. 1940s-50s Snapshot

Looks like afternoon tea under the tent to me. Two girls and one younger brother--both girls reminding me of a young Sally Draper from Mad Men... and I might guess it is an affluent Westchester County suburb in which this tent is pitched! I like it for everything packed into what seems at first a simple scene of backyard play-- from American flag waving atop the tent, to the contents of toy teacup being slurped up by the boy--and the sense of these kids reenacting the rituals of their parents' cocktail hour at a miniature scale.

4 1/2" x 2 3/4". Glossy print. Just slightly over exposed but crisp and clear.
