This sweet kitty seems to me at the opposite end of the spectrum than the more common sock monkey--positively refined! And quite a curious cat expression its maker captured, too, with pursed mouth, great red whiskers, and black beads for eyes outlined with black stitches. My favorite thing, though, are the buttery soft leather booties, stitched up the front with red thread, like laces. Red thread was used to detail the paws, too (with the ends, as with on her booties, just left hanging) and then white buttons up the front.
14 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide at shoulders, 2" deep. I've got it (seems to me it could be a boy or a girl) sitting on a pin cushion in the first photo as it needs a little something under it to sit up on its own.) Very good overall condition, with what I think are a few repair stitches to a seam under one armpit. A couple of minor stains but no holes at all that I can see; very clean and very sound.
