I didn't realize quite how great this box was until I went to pack up a whole bunch of odds and ends of a variety of shapes and sizes---they all wound up fitting neatly and safely inside of it, filling the individual niches on the lower level, and those that didn't easily laying across the open upper half. Very very handy, and great looking too, fashioned of old crate wood showing a stenciled tea label on the underside of the top lid, and a stamp for the American Steel and Wire Co. of Worcester, MA on the lower. Super sturdy and stable with hinges firmly attached, and feeling altogether like a very good thing, perfect for stashing a collection of rocks or other sorts of specimens in the niches, and piles of notes on the level above.
15 5/8" w x 9 5/8" d x 5 3/4" t and in very good, presumed antique condition.
