I would have killed to have one of these when I was a kid playing waitress--and must say it's given me a good amount of pleasure playing with it now! All of the keys work great, each causing a different price tab to pop up in the window, and then the "push" button on the far right side causes the drawer to pop open with a most satisfying ding! Hard to beat the bright orange, and I do think this would make a great teaching toy for the kids, including by giving them a bunch of coins to put in the drawer and use for making change--something that seems to baffle most checkout people these days!
9 1/4" tall x 6 5/8" wide x 7 1/2" deep. A few dings here and there, a little bowed along the top, and a little rusting along the edges, but overall great condition and looks terrific. C. 1940s I believe, manufactured by Kamkap Inc. NYC.
