Strange Silhouette and Man with Big Fish, Old Snapshot Photo

I really love snapshots that feel like film stills--and sure feels to me like there is a dialogue going on between these two. I also really love snapshots that feel like dance stills, and the silhouette/posture of the figure at near left is so strange it feels a bit that way to me, too. At first I wondered if actually a man at all, or, rather, a sort of scarecrow--but I think perhaps he has a rifle, or a rod, or something under his coat that is defining the hard line of his left side. Funny too how the dead tree angles across on the diagonal as if extending from his body--quite phallically! I've looked at this 100 times or more and keep returning to it.

4 11/16 x 2 7/8 and in good condition, crease to far upper left corner.
