If ever there were an empathetic eagle, I think this may one him—squawking very loudly at me to bring him home! I assume made by a kid in art class, though perhaps by a folk artist with a lot of heart, he’s got a brilliant humanity, with these black painted eyes with deep holes for the pupils at their centers, and then exuberantly incised lines for feathers all over. Perfectly painted gold with, rather inexplicably, a slightly metallic blue around his middle on both front and back, and then bright orange break. Excellent, and seems just right for the moment.
5 1/2” t x 7 1/2” across at wings x 2 1/2” d and in good condition, with just very minor paint loss here and there.
