SOLD Small Carved Stone Obelisk (with good stone pedestal)

I found this carved soapstone obelisk and rectangular rock in the same place and think the latter makes quite a nice pedestal for the former, so will include it as a bonus. I'm not sure the origins of the obelisk, but it seems to have some good age to it...perhaps a little Grand Tour souvenir, or a folk art recreation of one? Whatever the case, a good little object I think, which I must say I rather like turned on its side. The rectangular rock might have been a sharpening stone, I'm not sure.

Obelisk measures 3 15/16" t x 1 5/16" in diameter and in good condition, with just a bit of wear/softening to its point. Stone pedestal about 4 x 2 x 2.
