I'm often eyeing old wire hangers for their interesting lines, like drawings to hang in space, but most often I let them go. This one got me, though, for its very sculptural form, and the old paint on those gracefully curved shoulder plates, and for being embossed, twice, with a "Gold Medal Hanger" mark. Plus it stands up on its own, so can sit as well as hang. I've done some searching but can't find a match of it out there anywhere.
16" w x 7 7/8" t x 2 1/4" d and in very good condition, earlyish 20th c. I believe.
