I found a partial set of wooden rattle blocks like these a few years ago, so I knew what they were when I spotted a box full from a distance at a flea market in PA--and I made a dash for them.. I have not figured out the maker, but they have a very similar feel to the old sets of primary color nesting/stacking cubes I am also forever hunting for. And are equally fun to arrange! I believe 1930s-1940s. Constructed of wood with hollow interiors and multiple small beads inside of each making them rattle.

Each block 2 15/16" cubed. Set of twelve, three of each color, all in good shape, with just a small ding or surface scratch here and there, minor.
