I've been digging through and sorting some old piles of paper accumulated here and there over time and found this drawing, which I know was pulled from a small sketchbook, c. 1970s. It struck me anew as really a nice little sketch, dashed off quickly I am sure but to my eye perfectly concise. What's more the essence of things than a long walkway with a threshold to cross (or a void to confront!) at the end? Feels to me like a good one to frame up and live with.
6" x 3 7/8". Excellent condition, bright and crisp, graphite on light-weight sketchbook paper.
