I'm not sure the source of this antique bookplate, a lithograph I believe, but what a couple of beautifully rendered, intimidating creatures! I especially love how their bared teeth point in opposite directions on the diagonal, pointing outward toward looming predators, or unwanted guests!

7 x 4 1/4". Some age toning and a little roughness along the bottom edge but overall good condition.
