I had to dig around a lot to find another of these Bennington Potters spoon rests, designed by David Gil in the 1950s and impressed DG on the base. I really love it just as an object, with this super dark mossy green glaze, and might be inclined to use it as a pen, pencil or brush holder if not as a spoon rest, or perhaps to display a few beautiful clay marbles or stones. A rare piece, in excellent condition, and perfect gift for your favorite mid-century loving chef (or artist)!
9" long x 2 7/8" wide x 1 7/8" tall. A couple of small glaze flaws indigenous to the piece and perhaps a little wear to the base of the foot, minor..
