I'll never not open one of these beautiful old marbled notebooks without looking to see what's inside, hoping for pages and pages of gorgeous calligraphy practice, though rarely finding that! But this is the first I've found that is completely blank, front to back, with all if its pages perfectly in tact. For me, an unused notebook is one of the most optimistic-feeling things in the world, and this would be a special one to fill.
I do believe the interior paper is original to the notebook, not a later addition, and it is watermarked (only visible by holding up to light.) The paper is smooth, cream, of a good weight, and has a bit of a sheen to it. It is in excellent, clean condition.
8 3/8" x 6 7/8" x 7/16". 56 pages (112 fronts and backs). Board covers and cloth spine. Some overall wear to the marbled paper on the covers and to the very top of the spine, but looks great and ready to fill!
