I find the white and blues and greens of Persian pottery just amazing. And with this bowl, 18th/19th century I believe, it is the interior I love the most, simple and perfect, with the green forms looking like buds, and also a bit like figures holding hands in a circle around the full bloom! With three hand-painted vignettes of flowers and leaves and branches around the exterior, with a small gap of white between each. Lovely. And I would not be at hesitant to fill this with a mound of bright orange clementines, say!
7 7/8" d x 3 1/2" t. Very good antique condition, light craquelure to the white glaze and a few tiny chips around the rim and foot, minor and not detracting. My photos are not very good, I find it especially hard to shoot whites; better in hand and at almost 8 inches across, with a good scale and presence.
