I can rarely resist an old portrait of a proud and prized animal, and what a handsome bull this one, a Chianina I believe, a historic Italian breed. And though I am not sure the location of the farm here, I might guess that beautiful stone wall was built by Italian masons. With Glenside alone written on the back of the frame--indicating the farm's location in Glenside, PA I might guess, though I am not entirely certain. (I found this is NH.) C. 1920-40s I believe, in original period frame.
10 3/4" x 8 3/4" framed; photo itself 6" 4 5/8". Photograph itself in very good condition, with some general spotting to the mat near the edges of the frame and a little light blue paint the the surface of the black painted wood frame at lower corners. All feels of a piece, and quite a charming thing as a whole.
