A couple more today from a pile of football drawings found at Brimfield, all done by a kid of 10 or 12 I'd guess in the 1960s or so. My very favorite sorts of drawings, with the maker clearly totally invested in the action unfolding, totally committed to capturing it, and I think absolutely imaging themselves on the field as one or all of the players. There is one more from the first batch listed remain (scroll through the "just in" section a bit; the others were snatched up by a few of my favorite folk and outsider art connoisseurs), and then this and one more listed today. So many good moments here-- I especially love the leaping bodies, and the row of guards looking as though delivering wide armed hugs.
11 x 8 1/2". Graphite and crayon on lightweight paper. Light crease to upper right corner and small fold to lower right corner.
