I found this one at one of my very favorite antique shops in Pennsylvania, but don't know any more of its origins than that. Striking from a distance, but what I really love about this is how much it changes from every angle, including seeming to morph from a portrait of a young man from one view to that of a much older and wiser one from another. Full of life and depth it feels to me, and a rich one to live with. Unsigned, sculpted of red clay, hollowed out inside. I would guess mid 20th century or so. Beautiful.
8" t x 6 1/2" w x 7 7/8" d. Very good condition, no chips, cracks, repairs or other issues I can see. Stands sturdy and square on the neck.
