Pink Velvet Victorian Pincushion with Blue Embroidery

Just a sweet old handmade pin cushion, Victorian era I believe, which makes me think of little Miss Muffett sitting on her tuffet! What I especially like about this one is the little pocket/recess for a thimble at the the center, which also reminds me of those old mystery boxes where one sticks one's hand inside and feels around at some unknown thing! Nice and fat and plush, made of a pretty rose colored velvet, with blue hand-stitching around the edges and center.

3 3/4" x 3 15/16" x 1 1/2". Very good condition, with a few small pin holes in the velvet and one stitch on the star that appears to have come loose and then was knotted back into place.
