About as minimalist a theorem painting as one might find, which is much of why I love it, just a pyramid of three peaches in a black and brown basket. With just enough tonal variation on the peaches, from gold to orange-peach, to given them form, and an excellent graphicness to the patterning on the basket. C. 1830s-40s I believe, on velvet, under glass in a roughly period gold gessoed wooden frame.
11 9/16" x 9 9/16" framed. All in good antique condition, with one small lighter spot on the velvet just above the right curled handle of the basket.
