It's a good week when I get to dig through some piles of unpicked snapshots, which is how I found all the snapshots listed today--no purer test for one's eye, and brain--and of most definitely patience, too! My delight was audible finding this one--though it took a moment before I realized there is not just one boy but two of them poking their heads out from behind this pair of young priests, Catholic I believe. And what perfect perspective, making it look as if their heads were sitting on the shoulders of the priests--like angel and devil, whispering in their ears. One could certainly apply a darker lens to reading this too, as if a metaphor for scandals of the church, with those young boys pushing their way into image even while the priests stand tall, like a wall, as if to hide sight of them.
4 1/2" x 3 1/2". Light edge wear, a few light creases to upper left corner and small flag to upper right, as documented.
