Passed Out, 1931, Evocative Annotated Snapshot Portrait

Not quite sure if dead drunk or just taking a nap, maybe on a rowboat(?), but I really love this image, and also how the 1931 handwritten on the border makes it feel as if summing up a year in the life. I also really like the perspective and framing, with the wedding band on his finger right in the foreground. 

 5 9/16" x 3 3/8". Good condition, with what may be a bit of a shadow over the left half of the photo, original to it, or perhaps a bit of flaw in the printing, and what looks like a little toning along far right edge pf image, lower half. For me these don't detract but just make the image feel more painterly.
