Nothing makes me happier exemplifications of pride in good, hard work, and I might guess this fireplace was the most ambitious bricklaying effort completed by these two young men to date, who look quite fresh in their coveralls, trowel in the hand of one (the other I imagine just outside the frame.) Perhaps young apprentices, or bricklaying students, I am not sure; there is a bit of handwriting on the reverse but it is hard to decipher. Very sweet. Mounted photo, albumen I believe, c. very early 1900s.
6" x 5" as mounted to gray card. Good condition, general light wear to the perimeter of the card.
