Pair of Vintage 1967 Bennington Tawny Glaze Thumbprint Mugs

Regular price $40.00

I'll never pass over pieces of vintage Bennington pottery in this tawny mustard glaze, which, perhaps next to the matte green of arts and crafts pottery, is my favorite glaze ever. These two 1967 iconic "thumbprint" mugs, from the David Gil & Yesuke Aida era, are in terrific shape and really make the perfect everyday, all the time mugs, while looking great on an open shelf when not in use.

4 1/16" t x 3 1/8" d; 4 1/2" across at handle. Excellent condition, with minor darkening/staining to their undersides.  There is a small glaze drip/imperfection on one mug that shows white, and both show variations/darker glaze coloration in a few areas, original to the mugs and part of what this glaze particularly was known for.
