Pair of Love Birds, 1830s Folk Art Watercolor in Period Paint Decorated Frame

A very naive early watercolor of a pair of lovebirds  sitting atop a nest of green punctuated by pink roses--well, of course. And in a great paint decorated frame of the same period, which makes it feel all the sweeter. 1836 is written on the back of the frame of this one, I am more or less certain noting the precise year of the watercolor's making (probably written on the back of the watercolor itself.)  Charming.

7 1/4" x 4 3/4". Wear to the surface of the frame, which feels all of a piece of it to me. Watercolor in very good condition, very strong color still.
