Not an especially old one, but I couldn’t resist it for the determined effort of its maker to fully honor the fantastic patterns of the wood duck in a most excellent palette. It is signed Paul E. Bickford of Southhampton NH on the underside of the base, indicating, I assume, that its maker was pretty pleased with their efforts, too. There’s a repaired and painted over split on the yellow of the legs; I might guess this was made in two pieces to begin with, or that that was an accident incurred during its making, but I’m not entirely sure. Anyway, nice perched on a shelf somewhere to appreciate its colorful, graphic appeal.
8 13/16 w base x 2 1/16 d x 7 7/16 t. Repaired split as noted above, sturdy and stable now. Otherwise very good vintage condition. The name "Beth" is written in pencil on the back, which is painted a solid aqua.
