Another folk art animal with a great face; it's the very much hand draw-I'd say improvisatory, really--eyes on this one that I think really make him great, and on one side a mouth that just sort of devolves into two wavering lines. Nice collar too, making him seem very much the pet and guard dog of whatever lawn he was once stuck into!
13" long x 13 3/8" tall (including posts) x 7/8" thick and in good condition, structurally sound and sturdy, with good wear and aging to the paint. One small surface loss to the tail on one side only. C. 1940s or so I believe.
