I really love the marbleized paint on this tin cutout bird on branch, making it feel a bit as if hovering in the shadows, or maybe persevering through snow and rain and wind. I believe tin cutouts like this were sometime used as quilt templates; whether that is the case with this one I am not sure, but it seems to have age to it. I might hang it in a corner fairly high up as if perched in a tree top and keeping watch.
9 3/4" t x 4 1/2" and in very good condition, with light surface wear and just a bit of bending to the tin, minor. The reverse side is a solid dark red.
