I love all sorts of objects transformed by fire and other forces, but have not seen another melted glass bottle with a surface quite like this one, which at first I took for stone. The glass is a very dark green, which appears gray-black until held to light, and I guess it a product of the thickness of the glass that it is more the surface than the form that was transfigured--though the form was too, giving it a different profile from every angle, and with this wonderfully imploded bottom, with perfectly rounded sides and a deep suck inward at the center. Very satisfying.
8 1/4" t x 2 5/8" widest; 2 1/8" across at bottom and I would say pretty much indestructible at this point.
