Negative Face, Evocative 1941 Signed Plaster Mold

One half of a an old plaster mold, whether for casting a head to become part of a larger thing or just to make a small bust I'm not sure, but incised LV3 POV on reverse, and dated November 11, 1941. With a compelling elusiveness to the shadowy face, revealing different aspects from different angles, feeling very excellent as a sculpture unto itself now. 

5 11/16 t x 4 5/8” w (straight across) x approx 2” d and in good condition, with a nice patina to the plaster that enhances aspect of the face.
