Much Loved, Unusually Constructed Antique PA Cricket Stool in Original Green Paint

Regular price $110.00

Another week, another great old stool, because they're infinitely useful, and I can't pass a good one by. This one I purchased from a dealer-couple from Bucks County, PA, where they found it. Just the sort I look for- great lines, lots of nails, much loved, best green paint. And a bit of an unusual construction to this one, with the most subtle suggestion of feet cut into the bottom of the short sides, and a thin horizontal piece of wood running along the bottom edge between them. Very sweet, and a perfect pedestal for all sorts of things.

14" x 7 1/2" x 7" tall. There is a split to the wood on one short side, as documented, which means there is a bit of give in that leg.  It would be easily shored up with the addition of one nail into the bottom from below or a little glue. (It's fine without repairing, but you would not wan't to put heavy weight on it.)
